The Onslaught

After a long time away from the hobby I finally manage to finish a build. This project started way back in early 2011 and had been on hold for quite some time. After almost 2 years its finally done! It is such a good feeling finishing this build. I thought I'd never complete this since my interest in the hobby kinda faded away. For months I don't even want to touch a model/gunpla, maybe I just got burnt out or something. I was busy with other hobby such as photography and more recently I'm back on gaming once again. I'm a big fan of Halo and I could not resist not getting Halo 4, so it is the game the kinda brought me back to my old gaming hobby and also to model kits/gunpla. Why? Because I got kinda inspired by Masterchief's armor design and also the spartan armors on the multiplayer. I always wanted to make a Halo inspired SD ever since I stared this hobby, I know Its not the first time someone made a halo gundam cross over but someday I want to make one. That is why I decided to finish this old project so that I can move on to my other plan. I'm not sure if I could  finish a build again right away like I used to. Maybe this will be my last build this year, will see.

This build was inspired by The O II and the Gundam Devil. I used scraps from The Destiny SD and keroro kits. I also used some Legos and other scraps I have. I was suppose to paint it yellow but I decided to use Titans color scheme and of course weathered with cables and holes. Here are the pics.

Project Onslaught WIP 3

Hello everyone, Its been a while since I posted an update. I've been busy on other things this past months and sad to say that my interest on building gunpla/mechs/models had been off. I really want to go back 100 percent like I did before but sadly I might not be able to anymore. I still love the hobby and will still continue this blog . Here's a little update on what I'm working on so far.

Anyways, thanks to everyone visiting this blog site... Till next update...

The Junkbots Gloomy

After months I manage to finish a Junkbot again. This is a very quick build made less than 8 work hours. I didn't really plan to do this one but I had a lot of things in my mind and I need to divert it to something else. This build turned out nice I think. I haven't painted anything in months and it feels good to have something done again. As usual its made from scraps like left over plastics etc.

Scrapbuild SD Project Revisited

Here I go again working on plastic kits. I decided to work on this one first because I felt this one needs it. I started this way back on 2011 and haven't touched it since. I want to finish my old stuff and clear all the work in progress I left behind if possible. I realized that I need to go back to move forward and that is what I'll be doing. I don't know if I can top my last project but I guess its not about being able to do better, its about having a good time in what you do. Having a chance to to go back  I'll have a chance to correct my mistakes and improve upon what I've done. I wish life is simple as model building. Anyways enough talk here are some pics.

My New Hobby

Hello everyone! Its been a while since my last blog post. I just wanted to share my new hobby "mobile photography". I've been hooked to "Instagram" this past few months and I say I enjoy it very much. Taking photos using my phone have been a delight and its relaxing to me. I spend more time outdoors now than I used to. Going to the beach almost every afternoon to take photos of the sunset, clouds, etc.

I'm still into models/gunpla, I snap fitted some of my old SDs and HG 1/144 couple of weeks ago. I'll be coming back on posting wips again but for now I'm more into photography.

I have hundreds of photos posted on Instagram and  hope you could follow me. Username: rzero1
And to all my followers  thank you very much!!! =)

Here are some pictures I took using my Galaxy S II.

Warpath Scrapbuilt Gouf SD

It is done! After a long long time I finally finished this project. I started this back in October 2011. I never thought that this would take too much work as I intended this to be a side project. But it turned out that this became probably the most complicated and time consuming build I've ever done. I would like to thank my MAC bros for the support specially Kriz, MatX for the tutorials and DC23. I think I achieved my goal on making this a big hulking monstrosity. I wanted it to have an intimidating and menacing look. Anyways, I now present you Warpath.

The Junkbots Kriz

This Junkbot is dedicated for my good friend Kriz.  As I said way back, this is my simple thank you for the nice things he did, inspiring me to continue working on my Junkbots and giving advice and ideas. I tried to keep this build simple just like my very first Junkbot build and also made as simple base. I just hope he liked it. Thanks again my friend...

Warpath WIP 12

My Gouf SD is almost done. Painted using tamiya acrylics and weathered using tamiya weathering master. Its actually my first time using tamiya weathering set and so far I liked the outcome. The weapons are not yet painted but I'll work on it next.

Thank you for dropping by. =)

Warpath WIP 11

It been a while since I last updated this wip and I think its time for some update. Added more spikes on the shoulder. Replaced the right arm with a new one, added more rivets and added details on the feet. I also added some sort of a spine collar on the back of the head, thanks to Kriz for the idea. Added details on the Gatling gun, I used legos for the ammo chain and a medicine container for the ammo pack. It is inspired by Vulcan Raven from Metal Gear Solid. Gonna put some more details on it on the next update...

The Junkbots Namcap

Its been a long time since I last finished a build. My Gouf SD is taking a lot of work that it kinda burned me out. I needed something to finish to get my engine running again so I made this. Its a quick build finished in less than 24 hours.  Its made from a ping pong ball, twist ties, gunpla scraps namely exia first grade for the hands, sd  for feet, putty cap for the eye, gears, wires and screws. I also got some help from my old buddy on this build. He visited me one day and I showed him my work area, we had a chit chat while I was working on this and I ask him to help me out. He made the lens for the eyes and I let him hand paint some of the parts. He also game the idea of using Pacman color scheme. I was thinking of what color to use then he said "it looks like Pacman", so I end up using it. I named it NAMCAP which is Pacman in reverse...
